VAT loan repayment plan in Denmark
You can make a VAT loan repayment plan via the Danish tax authority's website skat.dk, simply log on to SKAT Erhverv, then select the formula 'Log på som erhverv' and then 'Log påmedNemID', the next step will be to log on using the NemID code, selecting 'Skattekontoen', 'Betalingsordning' and 'Opretnybetalingsordning' in turn. You will now need to click on the box to the left to select the type of debt and, in turn, the repayment frequency - "Månedligt'' (monthly), the payment method e.g. "Rater", i.e. installments, and the payment method e.g. "Antal rater".
The repayment plan for the VAT loan, with a repayment date of April 2022, cannot last longer than 24 months. After selecting the repayment period, click the 'Startdato' formula to select the date of the first installment and then 'Beregn'. By clicking the box that is located in the bottom left corner of the repayment plan and the formula "Godkend", you accept the repayment plan. Please note that you cannot use more than one repayment plan at the same time.
Such a plan must be created before sending the debt to the government's debt collection office (Gældstyrelsen, tel: +45 70 15 73 04). The repayment plan will be canceled if installments are not paid on time, and another plan can be entered into after 30 days, so it is advisable to use the payment ID for 'Skattekontoen' starting with +71 and make regular payments. The interest charged by SKAT is 0.7% per month, but sometimes setting up a repayment plan is the only way out of a difficult financial situation for your business.
