Employees can use the various functions that MitID Erhverv offers, for example to read the company’s e-mail correspondence, submit tax returns or report maternity leave for other employees. It is important that employees are duly authorised by the company to use specific self-service services before using MitID Erhverv. In most cases, the granting of authorisations to employees is done directly within MitID Erhverv. However, there are some services that require separate management of authorisations, for example, services related to the Tax Office.

Employees can also use their private MitID as a means of identification when logging into self-service systems on behalf of the company. This means that an employee can use one MitID to manage both private affairs and company duties, rather than using a separate MitID for professional purposes. However, for this to be possible, both the company and the individual employee must agree to the terms and conditions of using a private MitID. Personal data is completely separate from company data, regardless of the chosen login method. Alternatively, the employee can also create a separate MitID, which they will use exclusively to log in to company self-service systems related to their work.
